The journey of 100 lenses begins with the first lense and ends with the last.
I am a slow Squidoo learner. I made my first lens in 2006 and a year later added the second, which remains a winner and is all about becoming a millionaire by following the thirteen Napoleon Hill Principles.
A few lenses later, my friend Joan Adams kept telling me that I really must make lenses out of the many articles I was churning out at the time.
My goal was to complete 100 articles by the end of 2008 and hers was to create 100 lenses at the same time.
We both succeeded in reaching these goals.
The thought of creating 100 lenses finally settled into my consciousness.
Why not?
Joan would be there to make me conscious of default module titles, of long text without pictures or graphics, of creating good introductory beginnings, again with an appropriate pic or graphic, and creating unique, quality content, needing to be updated at frequent intervals.
I am still learning.
The journey of making 100 lenses begins with the first lens and simultaneously, learning how to create quality relationships on all the social networking sites.
Creating the first 50 lenses began in earnest after lens #10 or 11, I remember. The creative process seemed to expand as ideas flowed about which lens to create next and then writing those down in the tiny notebook always nestled nearby for the recording of inspired thought.
I remember feeling like an artist creating in the privacy and quiet of an artist studio, with the growing global audience of Twitter, Face Book and Squidoo looking on.
The first 50 lenses were intense, sometimes grueling, always satisfying, and always learning something new about Squidoo and the art of lense making.
The Giant 50 celebration continued as I began the journey to lens 100.
This milestone allows those who “make it” join the Giant Squid 100 Club, where you gain a higher level of credibility, google ranking, and an opportunity to join those who have gone before.
The words “Law Of Completion” flashed before the mind’s eye while working on lens 99.
The Law Of Completion, the ebb and flow of life, the cycles of living, the inner and the outer, being verses doing, poised with the question: what does all of this mean?
Lens creation is an experience of flow. No sooner do you start the process and hour and hours pass like a waking dream.
You are at one with the product and process of your creation.
But whose creation is it, really?
I believe as I complete this cycle of lens making, the coveting Giant 100, I am releasing these lenses to the world. They are no longer mine, if they ever were.
They are now yours, the world’s and the Universal Mind.
They are my gift to you.
Thank you.
I love you.
Peace Om Amen.
